Blockchain for the greater good
It was on April 24, 2021, that Sandeep Nailwal, the Founder of Polygon Network, a blockchain project, took to Twitter to announce the setting up of a Crypto Relief Fund to help people in need. He rallied some of the best minds from the blockchain community to come together and called for the global crypto ecosystem to endorse the fund and ...voila! They answered.
The Paradigm shift
What started as a Samaritan in emergency response has now transitioned towards a system that is involved in introducing programmatic interventions across the public health space at micro and macro levels. Blockchain For Impact constitutes a visionary cohort of individuals who strive to build comprehensive health systems for the future. Forging multi-sector collaborations, we aim to utilize skills, commitment, and technology for addressing current challenges and future gaps centred around health.

Our Origin and Road Ahead

BFI began during the pandemic with a tweet from our founder that sparked a powerful movement. What started as emergency relief work, providing oxygen, vaccination supplies, and critical medical support, evolved into a long-term mission.  A core team of scientists, healthcare experts, and innovators came together with a shared belief that India needs systemic change in healthcare.

Today, BFI supports high-impact biomedical innovation, connects researchers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs, and fosters collaboration to solve pressing health challenges. Our goal is to help India become a global leader in healthcare and biomedical research, developing solutions that are equitable, scalable, and relevant to communities across India and the world.
